We believe that the development of a tourist destination also depends on the training opportunities available to the people who live there.

The El Manantial del Silencio Tourism School is a programme for transferring knowledge from the company to the community. It seeks to share tools and experience that contribute to people’s development, to strengthening local tourism and to improving the experience of those who visit our destination.

Through training in hotel services and English for tourism, we share knowledge related to the tourism trade, building skills and helping to raise the quality of hospitality and tourism services in the community.

Our own team takes part as trainers, sharing their knowledge and professional experience. We also work with local educational institutions and bodies, including the FCSyH-UNJu (National University of Jujuy) and the Municipality, to strengthen the training programmes and create learning spaces tied to the needs of the area.

We believe that commitment to our surroundings is also built through education, support and ties with the community.

As part of our sponsorship programme, we have built a bond with School No. 53 Dr. Marcelino Vargas in La Ciénaga, supporting the school and promoting educational and awareness activities about caring for the environment, the land and our natural and cultural heritage.

In this way, we seek to strengthen the bond between the hotel, the school and the community, accompanying new generations as they build a more mindful and committed outlook on the place they live in.

We want our guests to take home something more than a souvenir: a piece of the identity and culture of our land.

Our Boutique is dedicated to selling locally sourced products, prioritising pieces that reflect the knowledge, creativity and identity of the Quebrada de Humahuaca and the Puna.

Within the Boutique, “Made in Quebrada and Puna” gives special value to local craftsmanship. We are working to identify the artisans and make visible the people behind each creation, adding their names and recognising the value of their work.

The space also houses the studio of Ricardo Tabarcachi, a local artist and painter, bringing our guests closer to the art and cultural expressions of the region.

Through this initiative we seek to strengthen the bond between tourism, culture and the local economy, creating sales opportunities and bringing our visitors closer to the products, knowledge and people that make up our community.

A place to meet, share and support local makers.

Every year, at Christmas time, we open the doors of El Manantial del Silencio to entrepreneurs from our community, creating a space where they can share and offer their products, creations and projects.

The Christmas Market is a chance to meet, to discover the work of those who create in our region and to bring our guests and visitors closer to local offerings.

Through this initiative we seek to give visibility to local businesses, promote local consumption and strengthen the ties between the hotel and the community, helping to create value in our surroundings.

An experience to discover, learn about and value our natural surroundings.

Our Botanical Trail invites guests and visitors to walk through and discover part of the flora around El Manantial del Silencio and the Quebrada de Humahuaca.

Through this space we seek to create an experience of connection with nature, bringing visitors closer to the natural heritage of the region and encouraging its knowledge, appreciation and care.

The QR code on each species gives access to information about the plants and their environment, so you can learn a little more about the natural wealth around us. Because getting to know our surroundings is also a way of learning to value and care for them.

We work to manage the waste we generate responsibly.

We apply separation, recovery and recycling practices that allow us to reduce the amount of material sent to final disposal.

Our team takes an active part in separating and managing waste, promoting good practices across every area of the hotel and working with organisations that recover and recycle materials.

In this way, we seek to reduce our impact and make use of materials that can still have a second life.

We work to use water and energy responsibly.

We build good practices into our operations and encourage the commitment of our team.

We also invite our guests to join us during their stay by adopting simple habits that help care for resources and reduce our environmental impact. Small actions during your stay can also help care for our resources.
